Contrary to Popular belief: Contrary.com Sells for $10,363

July 21st, 2008

Contrary.com sold today for $10,363 on the NameJet platform. I happened to have loved this domain name as it has so many development possibilities. I think although on the higher end of the spectrum, this one may very well be a good buy. Congrats to the new owner.

  1. I think its overpriced. Its just a dictionary word that has no category defining value.

  2. Jentzen,

Yes, it is a dictionary word, but an interesting one. I could see a few different sites using this as a great way of going against social norms or normal practices. I like this name quite a bit.
