Dabbling into SEO - Update
January 3rd, 2008Since Dec 18th - my search engine ranking for “VintageWatchLot.com” has changed. I had ranked #1 on Yahoo for my terms “Vintage Watch Lot” and “Vintage Watch Lot” but that ranking has dropped to #3. Anything positive to report? Yes… with only a little bit of content added, I seem to have broken into Googles top 25 for the term “Vintage Watch Lot” - where as before Google plane ignored me. Interesting also to note is that the splash page for ClickItOut.com is also ranked well for its terms:

- “Domain Consultation” - Google #10 / MSN #29
- “Domain Consultation Services” - Google #4 / MSN #6
Interesting to note is that I am not ranked on Yahoo. Perhaps Yahoo gives increased ranking to a wordpress page - thinking that much of the code is content? I’ll need to re-experiment with that in the future. I’ll update with more results as things progress!
