GoPlay.com - $26,300 On NameJet
July 21st, 2008GoPlay.com closed today at NameJet for $26,300. Another overpriced domain name. None of the TLDs are developed and even the keywords aren’t heavily advertised. I love this domain name, but at this price I just dont see it being a smart acquisition.

Agreed. Perhaps if the domain had been PLAY.com the price would make more sense. Let’s see what the new registrant does with the domain in the next several months.

I think it’s a great call-to-action names that have been rising in popularity within the past year or two. I wouldn’t pay as much as the buyer in this case paid, but I believe there are similar sales of two- and three-word “action” names happening all the time under the radar.

Leonard,
Had it been play.com - This would’ve been a great deal.
Steve,
I agree - this is a great name. Im just suggesting that perhaps the bidder got caught in a bidding war he didn’t intend. Frankly, I was a bit surprised this one topped 10k.

Nj had some nice sales lately. Hope they’ll open it soon for domainers to list their names for sale

Michael,
They had a phenomenal day with several big domain names scoring high x,xxx or better. I eagerly await the day when they open it up to other domainers.
