Is it time to officially call ourselves “Domainers”?
June 16th, 2008People involved in the domain industry can go by many names. Domain Investors, Domain Managers, Web Asset Managers (mine) and of course Domainers. Today the domain, DomainersForum.com closed on NameJet for a cool price of $3,300. Does this sale signify and acknowledge “Domainer” is the preferred description of our occupation? It just may.
Update on this one. I have spoken to the winning bidder and they intend to Develop the domain name into a non-profit site that “generate{s} positive publicity and general good karma amongst the domainer circles.”
I look forward to seeing what they do!
