NameJet Goes Live - RIP SnapNames

October 5th, 2007

SnapNames, let me introduce you to NameJet.

The cornerstone of the aftermarket site SnapNames.com has always been that Network Solutions expiring domain names, automatically went through that auction house.  Today Network Solutions and Enom released the joint venture service NameJet.com

NameJet.com instantly becomes the most important drop catching service, as it has prefered service to Network Solutions and Enom’s domain names. Because Network Solutions was the very first registrar, many of the worlds best domain names were registered there. Thus, when they expire, they are now going to go to NameJet.

What does this mean for Oversee.net the parent company of SnapNames? Unfortunately it means they bought a company last year, and flat out overpaid. They needed to make sure they had their contracts in place first, not after.
