Typos of Large Companies still drawing major attention

March 29th, 2008

Ending today at NameJet is the domain name DisneyChanle.com - a clear typo of (DisneyChannel.com) What amazes me is that with these large companies still garnish as much attention (for typo domains) as they do. Interestingly enough, this domain name is a double typo. Its missing an “n” and the “e” is in the wrong place - so why is this domain already at $2,900 with a few hours still left at auction?

With Parking revenue on a clear downword spiral, larger companies defending their marks, could you hope to make enough on this domain name before it could be taken away? On this domain, at this price, Im just not sure I see it.

  1. On this domain - at any price - I don’t see it. Clear trademark violation - why people still waste thier time with these type of names is beyond me.

  2. DisneyChanle.com - a clear typo of (DisneyChannel.com) - that is very interesting counting down the time when Disney will take hold of the domain name.
