Since we re-launched the site in February it hasn’t been possible to link directly to search results. The reason is that the advanced search page does its work in the background without the page reloading or the URL changing. We received several requests to add this functionality and today I am happy to announce that it is live.
There is now a box next to the Search and Reset Form buttons which contains a short link to your search results. When someone clicks your link it will automatically populate the advanced search form exactly how you had it (with a few caveats, see below) and run the search. This includes your settings for how the results table was sorted and how many results per page you were seeing.
Please note that the search link only updates after you click the Search button or after performing an action on the results table such as changing the sorting or the number of results per page.
To show you how it works, here is a link to a search I performed of LLL.com sales at NameJet in the past five years sorted by price descending with 100 results per page:

You’ll also notice that now when you press the Search button, or when you visit one of these search links, your browser will automatically scroll down to the results table for you. This should save you some time. On to the caveats…
Date Ranges
The date range drop-down menu is dynamic and fluid. The first group of options allows you to select an individual date going back five days.
However, if your deep link was for a selection of five days ago (in this case July 26th), tomorrow that link will no longer function as you expect. July 26th will no longer be an option in the drop-down menu, so it can’t default the selection to that date and instead will choose “Any”.
The same applies for years, in 2016 you will no longer be able to select 2013, so any links to a search with the year set to 2013 will start defaulting back to “Any”.
The only date ranges that will always function are the non-specific ones such as “Past Week” or “Past Month”. However, the sales that you saw when the link was generated will not be the same a few weeks or months from then because it is based on the current date, not the date the link was generated. The sales from the past week will obviously be different on January 1st, 2016 than they were on July 31st, 2015.
Pagination
While the search link will pass along your settings for how the results table was sorted and how many results were displayed per page, it won’t pass along what page you were on when you copied the link. This is a limitation of the data table software that we might eventually create a workaround for, but for now I wanted you to be aware of that.

Excellent feature! Thank you Michael.
Here’s what I want to do. Is it possible?
1. .com
2. Past month
3. Exclude hyphen
4. Length 4 to 4
5. Not LLLL and not NNNN (i.e. must be a mix of L and N)
Also, I’ve found that the ! operator (e.g. !LLLL) is not saved in the link; instead, I get the opposite (i.e. LLLL) when I click the link.
Good catch regarding the ! operator not saving as part of the link, that is fixed now. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Unfortunately right now it isn’t possible to do two different ! patterns in one search. NNNN sales are more rare, so for now it would probably be best to do !LLLL and then just ignore the NNNN sales. I might make it possible to do multiple ! operators in one search if enough people are interested in that.
Thanks for the quick fix and suggestion. For now, this feature is already very good. Much appreciated for this improvement.
